Narrative’s Next Chapter

The Mission Support Center

Narrative is a member church of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). Part of being in this church body is being a part of the Texas District of the LCMS. Over the past several years it became apparent the Texas District’s office space, dedicated in 1967, close to the intersection of Highways 183 and 290 in Austin was not sustainable into the future. With this knowledge, the decision was made to build a new Mission Support Center that would function both as offices for Texas District staff and as a space to assist in the mission of member congregations. With this in mind, the Texas District Mission Support Center was built at 1221 Satellite View in Round Rock.

Partnering with the Texas District

As part of the vision of the new building, President Michael Newman and the leadership of the Texas District included in the plan a chapel that could be used for District events, the spiritual growth of District staff, and use by a local church plant. The Mission Support Center is located just about a mile north of Hopewell Middle School, where we have met for worship (save 18 months during COVID) since 2015. Over the past year, we have worked with the Texas District to move our worshipping location to the Mission Support Center. The Chapel will be a great fit for the next chapter of Narrative Church.

Timeline

After months of hard work and planning, the process of Narrative Church meeting in the Mission Support Center has come together. Sunday morning worship at the Mission Support Center begins November 19th. We are looking to have a celebration of the next chapter sometime in December.
