Plan
On 3/16/2020 an executive order from the Williamson County Judge will go into effect banning mass gatherings of 50 and over until May 11. Narrative Church falls into that category. However, we also see that suspending physical Sunday gatherings is a way to love our neighbors in the medical community and those who are most at risk of contracting COVID19. Because of this we will be spending a season together meeting online. We will have more updates as they come about. Please read this blog to find out more.
Pray
Join us as we pray for those suffering, medical professionals, government officials, and to see the Lord at work. We believe that prayer does two things: brings our desires before the LORD and changes us. Look for ways to encourage those who are struggling, give a hearty air five or a plate of brownies to a nurse, seek how you can serve those around you. Pray that God would be at work through us during this time of uncertainty.
Love
In the midst of all of these things the Kingdom does not change. We are still called to the greatest commandments. There are stories through the ages of how plagues, disease, or famine would hit, yet Christians would remain. Look for ways to love God and your neighbors in the midst of all that is happening.
“I shall ask God mercifully to protect us. Then I shall fumigate, help purify the air, administer medicine and take it. I shall avoid places and persons where my presence is not needed in order no to become contaminated and thus perchance inflict and pollute others and so cause their death as a result of my negligence. If God should wish to take me, he will surely find me and I have done what he has expected of me and so I am not responsible for either my own death or the death of others. if my neighbor needs me however I shall not avoid place or person but will go freely as stated above. See this is such a God fearing faith because it is neither brash nor fool hardy and does not tempt God.”
-Martin Luther in a letter to a fellow pastor during an outbreak of the plague.
